The souring relationship between Sudan and south Sudan

The Souring Relationship between Sudan and South Sudan By: Abraham Daljang Maker, Kampala Uganda It has been expected of the two sister nations to be engaged in serious war. the independence of south Sudan was not a welcome gesture in Khartoum because of the potential wealth in the south, but conditions could not favoured Sudan's decision hence the secession of the south Sudan was inevitable.  Just like the devoiced couples who can never be in a good term. South Sudan and the Sudan have the fresh scars of the wounds they inflicted on each other during the two decades conflict. The emergence of the rebel activity in southern Kordufan and Blue Nile has prompted Sudan to accuse the southern Neighbor of arming the rebels, and in the same way, south Sudan accused Sudan for supporting the southern rebels. The dire relationship has been on for some time until of recent when a lot of reports about Sudan aerial bombardment on the South Sudan's territory became the talk of th

Was Muammar Gaddafi worst than Omar al Bashir?

Was Muammar Gaddafi worst than Omar al Bashir? By: Abraham Daljang Maker, Kampala Uganda When you compare and contrast these two men, you realize that both are more less the same in their behavior and mode of thinking. The late Muammar Gaddafi, the former Libyan leader and the President of the Sudan, Omar al Bashir have no different at all. Even the WHO says that its impact on world health isn’t fully assessed Cigarette smoking is increasingly becoming the major public concern in this contemporary society. If you have ever
The symbolic significance of triumphal entry of Jesus to Jerusalem By: Abraham Daljang Maker It is a palms Sunday today. The event started yesterday with high demand of palm leaves by Christians across the country.  Cars, motorcycles and bicycles are having palms branches on them. I am not quite sure if trains, ships, boats, canoes and even aeroplans also have branches of palms on them too. Well it’s the day when Jesus Christ, the Savior triumphantly entered Jerusalem, the humble king who rode on a donkey’s colt was welcome with jubilant and a big crow shouted on top of their voices,   “Hosanna to the son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!”   ( Matthew 21:1-11)   The shouting was so unbearable and chief priests asked Jesus to silence his followers but the wise king replied that, “even if I tell them to keep quiet stones and trees will also shout.”  That means his name is great and above any other name. When his name Jesu
