RESPECT THEM AS THEY WOULD It has never crossed my mind and I doubt if I will ever do it. The line between traditional media where journalists were(are) the watch dogs and the custodians of accurate information and the current trend of social media where everyone owns unverified information and breaks the news at any moment, is totally blurred. Come to think about it, why would one take a picture of a deceased and post it on social media? Why rush with half baked information even when the loved ones of the passed on person haven't yet got the information? Even if it's a full baked information per se, do we have a permission from the relatives or the right to publish it? Have we ever thought of putting ourselves into the shoes of the person who is gone? What if he/she were alive, or suddenly resurrects, do you think he/she would appreciate us for publishing their obituary? Do we even know the ethics of publishing the obituary?
