GOODBYE UGANDA!
After my 12 years of academic pursuance in Uganda, my sojourn in that country has come to an end. i will dearly miss Uganda and its nice people:
1. The Ever Smiling Iteso, 
2.The Ever Polite Baganda, 
3.The Ever welcoming Lugbara and 
4. the Ever Chatty Bakiga. 
As Human being, we all have points of weaknesses, If I've ever stepped on your feet; it's now time to ask for your forgiveness. 
I've also forgiven whoever might have hurt me knowingly or unknowingly. I will always Love Uganda and its people, see you whenever i come around.

  Teresa Nyankol Mathiang was a peace Icon and a liberator By: Abraham Daljang Maker Nyankol Mathiang was a great singer who inspired all the south Sudanese during the Liberation struggle. She was a star who used the arts of music to encourage and agitate for freedom of South Sudanese.   I was stunned by the story post on the social media, Facebook that she passed on in Juba teaching hospital. I could believe what I saw; my eyes started to swelled up with tears and I could not controlled   the ball of tear which rolled down my cheeks. My brain immediately turned on the cassette of her songs which kept singing and rewind when the songs are over. Her angelic voice kept nagging me as I lay down in my bed in the afternoon, the more I controlled the flow of the songs, and the more the tap kept rewinding itself. COWS HAVE BECOME THE SYMBOLS OF DOOM IN OUR CULTURE.

Cows have become the symbols of doom in our culture.   By: Abraham Daljang Maker They are just four legged animals which we should have been using wisely for our equitable economic benefits and to enhance better living as pastoralists communities; instead, they have enslaved us all. The victims of this enslavement are our sisters, daughters, aunts and cousins who are being subjected to torture by greedy individuals who see their daughters and sisters as assets rather than human being who deserve respect and dignity, what a tragedy?  I was dumbfounded by the news of a 20 year old girl who was killed in Yirol by her brothers for refusing to accept an arranged marriage to a man she didn’t love or perhaps she wasn’t ready to get married to any man for that matter.
